Twice as bright as the stock WF-500 bulb!!!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
A high quality replacement bulb for my Ultrafire WF-500 flashlight. The output seems on par with a 630lm LF HO-R5. Beam profile gives a nice round hotspot with a smooth transition to spill beam. Bulb appears well focused and centered on my WF-500 reflector.
    Cons:
These bulbs appear to be hand made and small variations can occur in centering the bulb in different reflectors. So its a lotte...

    Pros:
Surefire compatible, I'm using the Z59 tailcap on this light. P60 style drop is bright and has a nice warm white tint. The contact springs on the 2-mode tailcap and LED module are gold plated, nice touch!
    Cons:
The reverse clickie 2 mode tailcap feels soft and fragile which leads me to question its durability in the long term and under ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright compared to standard P4, estimated 200-300% more output. Good quality materials and workmanship. Solid feell, threads bewteen pill and reflector are well cut, reflector is a light orange peel, giving it better throw than the medium orange peel...
    Cons:
Beam shape isn't smooth, but has typical Cree dark ring around the hot spot, this has got to do with the reflector design as no...

    Pros:
Smooth HA-II finish, unique clickie is easy to press, good output on CR123, even better on RCR123.
    Cons:
The exposed rear clickie looks vulnerable to breakage if the light is dropped, which also makes it easy to activate the light u...

    FULL SICK MATE!!!!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The brightest flashlight you can buy off the shelf for $25 shipped! The build quality and finish of this product is on par with my Wolf-Eyes M90X-13v! My WF-500 with 2x Trustfire 18650s(SKU:5776) has a greater output than my W.E M90X-13v!
    Cons:
That DARNED clicky tailcap!! Too stiff and loud for any sort of tactical applications. This product would have earned 5/5 fo...

    Pros:
Lights up the Ultrafire WF-500(SKU1317) with a single click everytime so far! And thats with the WF-500 lamp drawing around 3amps!

    Great value but average performance

    Pros:
Protection circuit works as intended. Cells are well wrapped and presented.
    Cons:
Cells don't have enough grunt to light high current incandescent lamps like the R500 & WF500... however SKU 5776 does!!

    Good cells

posted by nomoney on 10/23/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Well made. Can be used reliably in high current incandescents. I use these cells in my Surefire M3T with a LumensFactory EO-M3T lamp and a G&P X-9, both light up with a single click everytime.
    Cons:
The shrink wrap could be thicker. The thin wrapping can wear out quickly and expose the wiring for the cell protection, cau...

    A pleasant surprise!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
BRIGHT smooth beam, very white tint, no artifacts. Very good regulated output using 6.0v, 7.4v or 3.7v regardless. Build quality is good considering the price, no dodgy workmanship apparent.
    Cons:
None really... Only gripe is the shallow threading where the LED module screws into the alloy reflector. It shouldn't pose any ...

    Bright, but not a thrower...

posted by nomoney on 09/13/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Pretty bright using 2 3.7v RCR123s. Good flood beam, useful for close to medium range applications, up to about 100ft(30m).
    Cons:
Oval beam, unfrosted bulb gives the beam some artifacts and the notorious "oval" hotspot.
