Feels more expensive than the price

posted by p0cketphluff on 09/08/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
WOW SO TINY The steel surface in the pics where you weigh stuff is smaller than a matchbox. A true "pocket" sized object. Pouch to protect it The scale also has a lid, so that the sensors cant be overloaded from handling led backlight
    Cons:
    none so far

    A unique glowy keychain =]

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The 20mm vial of tritium is quite bright, and it is possible to read slowly off the green glow in total darkness. Feels quite solid and more than able to withstand daily abuse. And of course, it will last a very long time
    Cons:
PRICE! Ordering these is a true gamble since they will pretty much always be waiting for these. Mine took a month from orderin...

Works nicely and the infra red repeater is cool

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The signal quality is still good through walls, shelves, fridge etc and about 15m away. It is also ok from one storey to another. The ir receiver converts the remote signal into a radio signal, so you can use the remote from another room. Small and lightwe...
    Cons:
Sometimes a bit of static randomly pops up, but its not much The remote extender doesn't work for foxtel (but many extenders do...

    Pros:
Roaring blue flame :) Adjustable flame Lights on the first click most of the time Lock and cap Refilled perfectly Big tank for a mini blowtorch/lighter
    Cons:
The metal ring around the nozzle can get a bit hot, as does the black plastic. Its probably best to use it for less than a minu...

A fine charger if you don't mind the charge curren

posted by p0cketphluff on 05/09/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It would be gentle on the batteries, since they are charged slowly and without much heat. 9v - yay! AA and AAA are charged right up to 1.4 and 9v to 10.
    Cons:
Needs to be switched to 110v or 220v by the user. It might blow if you overlook this.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Some people report solder joints that were not properly flowed. Mine seemed flawless Very low dropout voltage, I might remove the diode to make it lower. Nice stable output when driving from 4 AA or 1 li-ion. Came with pre stripped and tinned wires. Made f...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The trimming works well and I have been able to get it to be fairly stable. The thing where you turn clockwise and it goes forward a bit does work. Its not strong, but its lightweight and flexible frame makes it quite resistant. Ive crashed countless time...
    Cons:
Charging cable is flimsy but its not like I would move it while its charging. The remote doesnt like ninmh batts and I am usin...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Decent output. Visually, it appears much brighter than my dvd diode. The green module and driver is surrounded by a ring of foam, so it should be somewhat resistant to shock There are o rings around the bits that can be unscrewed. The threads are also wel...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Ozone generation is solid, the first time I turned the ozone feature on there was a mild bleach like smell which indicates fairly concentrated amounts of ozone - not a pleasant smell or very healthy if you are in the same room but i guess it disinfects well...
    Cons:
NO INSTRUCTIONS =, there is some chinese stuff on the box but can't read it. Battery life is kind of short, I am considering s...
