    Great picture quality

posted by pHr34kY on 02/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Dramatic picture improvement over composite. Cable is quite long. RCA plugs seem reasonably sturdy. It's grey.
    Cons:
Cables are a little on the thin side, but not thin enough to introduce distortion. These are NOT made with shielded 75 ohm coax...

    Perfection!

posted by pHr34kY on 04/19/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Compared to my previous GU10 11W fluoro globes: - These are notably brighter - These consume less than half the power - These turn on instantly (the fluoros took > 1min to get to full brightness) - They run cooler - They last longer (allegedly) - Better ...
    Cons:
    - Momentary blindness after turning them on. They light up quicker than your eyes can adjust.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very simple to set up. Runs out-of-the-box on Linux. Plugs straight into my Gigabyte motherboard (G41M) with no issues. Fast read/write speeds.
    Cons:
It feels a little plasticky, and you need to take care when inserting cards. Sometimes the cards need to be jiggled during inse...

    Minimalist and flexible

posted by pHr34kY on 04/08/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
So small, most of the holder will hide behind your phone. You can barely see it. Works great with smaller phones. It almost never falls off the windscreen. The twist-on suction cup works very well. Very flexible - you can point this in almost any direction....
    Cons:
It bounces around a bit on bumpy roads. It will introduce a bit of noise into an accelerometer reading. It's still quite solid ...

    Very good overall product

posted by pHr34kY on 07/06/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Brilliant picture quality - even at night! Set-and-forget. It starts/stops with the car's ignition. Night mode works well in all conditions, so there's no need to ever change it. Sturdy but compact mounting bracket. Good bass in audio. Good mic sensitivity....
    Cons:
It uses the MJPEG video codec with 8KHz Mono PCM for audio. Although high quality, it consumes 1GB every 11 minutes in HD mode....
