    Good pocket knife

posted by pjwerneck on 10/21/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Sharp, thin, fits on your wallet, easy to carry around and doesn't attract too much attention, unlike a folding pocket knife.
    Cons:
It really feels weak and it's really useful for emergencies only. Don't expect to do anything you'd need a real knife to. The h...

    Pros:
    - It simply works, much better than any other wire stripper I've seen. - Strips wire perfectly, every time. - Very well built, it looks like it'll last a lifetime. - Cheap! - The mechanics of it is very cool, it really holds the wire in two points, cut ...
    Cons:
    - It has a little piece to measure how much of the wire to strip which is adjusted by a screw. Sometimes you want to change the...

    Pros:
Standard kitchen timer. Very well built, it's really stainless steel, it can be dropped on the floor, on water. Easy to clean.
    Cons:
No manual. The markings might vanish over time. Don't use any abrasive to clean it. It can be a little hard to twist sometimes,...

Worth the price, but not reliable

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Small and well built, good looks, uses 18650 cells, adjustable flood/throw, low, high and strobe modes.
    Cons:
No current limiter for the led, which can be heavily overdriven by a fresh cell. There seems to be a bad thermal contact too an...

    Pros:

Very nice proto-shield, but not perfect

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Nicely built, good board quality, solder mask and silk marks. Very nice PCB design. Some pads for other componentes, GND and VCC tracks. There are even pads for an SOIC SMD circuit you can solder and use.
    Cons:
There's one single big con, but it's a flaw. They are not stackable. They don't use the long pin headers, but a pair of male an...
