    not really XL

posted by qorrona on 09/01/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
seems to be of decent fabric quality and has lots of pockets. I can not say much about this product because it does not fit me. I like the color though
    Cons:
WAY too small for a european XL male. my thigh girth is 60cm (I ride 4000km on a bike every year) and I can barely walk in the...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
    - really good image quality in daylight - Fine: 1280x720@30fps - Standard: 1280x720@30fps (but looks like 15fps) - Economy: 720x480@30fps - MJPEG avi files - sound is ok
    Cons:
    - white and IR lights are rather useless on a distance > 1m - white balance is way off when used with tungsten light - bikem...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
charges every device I tried (milestone, iphone3GS) without any issues or getting unusually warm. appears to have a very large capacitor on the secondary side.
    Cons:
well... the design is not that beautiful.

    Pros:
a skull, that plays music, how cool is that? its cheap and loud!

works on iphone, doesn't on milestone

posted by qorrona on 12/14/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
cheap, works as advertised. voltage is well within range (5.3V)
    Cons:
charges the milestone too, but makes its touchscreen freak out. maybe caused by the output voltage not being stabilized enough

looks great, easy operation, mine is off by 0.5bar

posted by qorrona on 09/28/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
looks great (got the shiny red one) has close to none pressure loss due to tubes or measurement chambers. 3 repeated measurements on a standard city bike tire all showed the same value. the LC-display is one of the best I've ever seen
    Cons:
it is off by 0.5bar. that is quite a lot. if it would be accurate, it would be a 5 in all categories. however, others have repo...

    great for bikes

posted by qorrona on 09/28/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
pressure range is ideal for trekking and mountain bikes. (road-race bikes require a higher pressure). the scale is very readable and not obsrtucted by anything. as far as I can tell very accurate. at least it measures exactly the same value as my pump show...
    Cons:
it looses a small amount of pressure while attaching it to the valve. (the volume in the measuring chamber has to be equalized ...

playes well but has problems with upscaling

posted by qorrona on 06/08/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
it reads ntfs and fat. it playes 1080p mkv files without issues. it playes 720p files without issues if the output is set to 720p. (see below for details) nice and responsive gui. fast startup and shutdown time.
    Cons:
creates a 'net_movie' directory on every filesystem that is connected to the device. does not read ext or xfs. upscaling 720p t...

    Cheap powerful servo with issue.

posted by qorrona on 02/19/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
it is digital. it reacts very fast on input. has nearly zero play. gears feel smooth and well done. has a ball bearing. (not sealed though) it has indeed only metal gears.
    Cons:
is a little overreactive. while positioning it moves past the target and then back again.

strong, cheap servo with a lot of play

posted by qorrona on 02/19/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
strong servo. indeed all metal gears. a ball bearing on the output-shaft. not sealed though.
    Cons:
has a lot of play. better not use it for anything that suffers from much play. gears feel mushy or grinding when turned witho...
