posted by quarx on 01/03/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
-cheap -memory is functional as compared to my other lights. -bright with 2 123s -good runtime with 18640, a bit brighter compared to N3 with 18640. -fast strobe is blinding, i like it better compared to C3s slow strobe
    Cons:
-rubber tail switch cap feels cheap -switch feels cheap too. -scratches are appearing after some use. -runtime is not so good w...

    Functional as Expected

posted by quarx on 01/03/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
-capacity seems to be as what is claimed, I do not have professional test equipment but it powered my R2 light for more than an hour on high. -charges up to 4.1V with my DSD charger, but I think this is due to my charger not peaking to 4.2V, this can be a c...
    Cons:
-recessed positive terminal can be a con. -you really have to see the label to make sure which side is positive.

posted by quarx on 11/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Super Strong! it can hold like half a kilogram(not tested). I use it to extend my Lithium batteries and they do the job very good.
    Cons:
really small, and maybe easily displaced. Really DANGEROUS for kids.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Functions as expected, nothing fancy over this watch except the price. Price/Build Quality is good. Color is nice, my kids love the attractive color (yellow).
    Cons:
one button (for light) should be pressed hard to make a contact. other than that everything functions without a hitch

Could be heavier but quite a puncher

posted by quarx on 10/28/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
-versatile (charges different size of lithium batteries) -shuts down when battery is fully charged. I do not know if it does tickle charging. -does not make my 123s warm, maybe it is charging it at a very low current.
    Cons:
-too lightweight for my liking. I am afraid that it breaks when I drop it. Volume-weight ratio is not right. -I wish it had du...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
-lightweight -good runtime, used on my 30mW laser and for over a month(around 30min of use) of usage it only dropped from 4.2v to 3.8v

posted by quarx on 10/15/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
-noticeably brighter than my AAA 50mW green. -stable visible ray -does not get hot over time (maybe the diode is not dissipating its heat to the outer body?) -easily clipped on your shirt -fairly focused beam
    Cons:
i wish there is a secondary on/off switch on the side, I have an AAA green laser with side switch it is convenient compared to ...

    Good Value

posted by quarx on 08/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
-several battery option is a plus -does not generate as much heat as my Romisen N3, but the have more or less have the same amount of light. Maybe Q5 is more efficient and it converts much of the energy to light.
    Cons:
-1AA does not give out as much light as 2AA configuration(I was in the impression that light intensity would be equal because o...
