    18650 batteries don't fit.

posted by rewolff on 04/07/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Charges through standard USB connector. (Haven't been able to test this).
    Cons:
The batteries that this is made for (18650) simply don't fit. The batteries are 65mm high (the 65 in the battery type designati...

    Great charger.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Works great! I have now charged a few of my "spare" Nokia batteries with it and it charges them to 4.22V according to my multimeter. Just a tiny bit too high. On the other hand, if the internal protection circuit has 0.02V of voltage drop, 4.22 charging vol...
    Cons:
It doesn't come with any cable. You'll need to provide your own microUSB cable. It has a few other power connectors that I ha...

    Pros:
Compatible with the deans connectors. cheap.
    Cons:
I measured the contact resistance. At 5.7 mOhm not that much. However, I had the chance to compare this with the official DEANS...

    Nice motor.

    Pros:
Nice motor. Gives out a tremendous amount of power. We built a prop that can handle the high RPM of this motor. We're guessing it should deliver around 1kg of thrust at around 200km/h. (Before you start thinking: "I want that too", you should real...
    Cons:
Most people should just use it as a replacement for a 450 class heli. It's not as easy to use as a normal brushed DC motor. I...

    reasonably fast

posted by rewolff on 04/15/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Nice compact SD card reader. Reasonably fast: I benchmarked my fast SD card to 16Mb per second. I bought this because I was tired waiting for the 4Mb/sec and 8Mb/sec readers that I have, and I wasn't disappointed.
    Cons:
The caps for the connectors feel as if they might break one day....
