Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Easiest way to get 2 relays under arduino control, can replace other xbee sheields, but even if you dont need that, its still a good buy. Screw terminals for Vin are a good start. Jumpers to configure the xbee connection so that you can keep the hardware ...
    Cons:
While the relays are rated to 250v, there is no way I would do that with the board layout, the ground plane is contiguous aroun...

No absurd giant USB socket, 3.3v operation for easier connection to 3.3v devices uno style xmega replacing the ftdi chip additional headers for easy connection
    Cons:

Issues with the fit, but not insurmountable

posted by rickkonz on 01/17/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fits on the drive, only adds a few mm to the length so fits in most places that a normal IDE drive will fit like mobile racks and old xboxes.
    Cons:
The board can flex on the sata plug, allowing the solder side of the power plug to touch the body of the HDD shorting out the p...
