    Amazingly bright well-balanced light

posted by rolleur on 10/24/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
This light is amazingly bright. The modes work well with the light always starting out in medium after being off. This keeps all the strobes from being irritating, but they are there if you want them. The light is really nicely balanced and has a nice feel...
    Cons:
The "special tactical police strobe" is really just a burst of fast strobe followed by a pause, burst, pause, etc. I...

    Best Bike Light on DX

posted by rolleur on 10/13/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Springs on both ends of battery compartment (prevents rattle and flicker). Good runtime - almost 2 hrs on high before it can't hold regulation anymore and gradually dims to medium and then keeps on going. Better build quality and finish than my single mode ...
    Cons:
The lanyard is pretty cheap. The strobe is really too fast to be used as a bike strobe. Does every multimode light really have ...

    Best Bike Light on DX

posted by rolleur on 10/11/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Double springs for both ends of battery (prevents flicker). Bright with plenty of spill for use as a bike light, but the throw seems pretty decent on high (still a mid-range light though). Runtime on high is almost 2 hrs (then it drops smoothly to medium br...
    Cons:
Strobe is really too fast to use as a bike strobe. Do we really need SOS on every single light that has more than two modes? Th...

    Impressive AA Light

posted by rolleur on 08/30/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
I'm impressed with this light. The build quality is excellent and it has a very bright spot with decent spill for a AA light. It is brighter than my P4 18650 lights and only a bit dimmer than my Q5 18650 lights. The side switch works great.
    Cons:
It is quite long. Otherwise, no cons.

    Great Light!

posted by rolleur on 02/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
This light is quite bright. On high it starts off brighter than sku.2821 and stays that way for about 45min and then gradually dims for an additional 45min. (Tested with a Trustfire rechargeable 880mah battery). The modes are fairly distinct and the str...
    Cons:
Doesn't appear to have mode memory - always starts out on medium. Barely tailstands. Without the lanyard, the light will roll...

    A Follow Up

posted by rolleur on 01/20/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a follow up review. I've gotten my second light and wanted to report that I stumbled onto more than five modes - actually 9 in 3 groupings. Thanks to the discussion posted by Changes below I figured out how to reliably switch between them. That m...
    Cons:
I stumbled onto the different modes because the switch on my second light quit working (it would get stuck in). I did manage t...

Good capacity and smaller than some of my other protected batteries.
    Cons:
Still too big to fit in one of my lights (VENTURE).

    Nice looking, bright light.

posted by rolleur on 12/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Brightest spot of all my lights. Uses 18650 battery. Tailstands nicely. Very fast strobe. Includes gift/storage box.
    Cons:
The smooth center can make it a bit hard to grip in some conditions. The smooth reflector leads to an unsmooth beam pattern.

    Great Bike Light

posted by rolleur on 12/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is really bright. The spill is especially brighter than my P4 C2. Build quality seems even better than my HAIII C2. The lanyard is a really nice length. Also works great a bike light. Fits all my protected 18650s.
    Cons:
A high-low-off switch would be nice. Not HAIII. Otherwise nothing.
