    It wobbles

posted by silviumc on 01/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It's very compact and it's adjustable in every way.
    Cons:
It wobbles. I have bought it to be able to put my phone in it and run a car DVR application. Because this holder wobbles, even...

One is barely enough for 6 sqm room

posted by silviumc on 10/09/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - very low energy consumption - pure white light, not bluish, that's something to appreciate - supposedly long life, ie 10 years (I have to see that) - no dead LEDs after 4 months (but that's not a lot of time)
    Cons:
    - pricey, but if it will really last that long, it should be ok, overall - fragile and not properly protected for transport in ...

They still work after 2 years

posted by silviumc on 08/03/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I use them for parking lights. It's very important that you don't put these near other high-power bulbs, so they don't get heated up. In other words, if your headlight configuration groups the parking lights and high-beam in the same enclosure, it's ok, but...
    Cons:
Sensitive to heat. Would probably melt.

    Would advise against them

posted by silviumc on 10/25/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - they put out a fair amount of light - they have a nice color, are not bluish, I think they have color temperature around 5000K
    Cons:
    - all LEDs were good for about 6 months, then first failed - they get a bit hot and their plastic will cook, emit very fine smo...

Enough light for a small room

posted by silviumc on 08/24/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - low consumption - bright enough for a small room of 2x2 meters - instant full output, no warm-up required - frequent on/off switching is not detrimental to its service life like it's the case with CFLs - doesn't get hot
    Cons:
    - a bit bluish light. This is not recommended to use in a place where you stay for a long time (like living room, kitchen, get...

Adequate, but brighter would be better

posted by silviumc on 09/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - low energy consumption 3W compared to original incandescent 21W - very long life, for all intents and purposes, longer than the life of the car itself.. that is if they don't fail in the first couple of months - almost as bright as the incandescent
    Cons:
Biggest con is the little difference between the tail light phase and the braking phase. While they are adequately visible, ev...

    Good product

posted by silviumc on 08/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    * if you need a pair of bulbs that direct the light in front, these are perfect. No wasted light; * as bright as incandescent W5W, yet they draw less power and don't get as hot; * they are supposed to last for a very long time, you shouldn't have to ever r...
    Cons:
    * they are more expensive than W5W

They are W5W / T10 .. so far so good

posted by silviumc on 08/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    * if you need a pair of bulbs with light on one side only, these are perfect: no wasted light; * they are brighter, they draw less power and don't get as hot as W5W; * they fit in a W5W / T10 socket. DX has a wrong description, there is no such thing as a ...

    * they are more expensive than W5W

They partially melt if placed near a H7 bulb

posted by silviumc on 07/21/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - low energy consumption 1.35W compared to original incandescent 5W - very long life, for all intents and purposes, longer than the life of the car itself - as bright as the incandescent, if not brighter
    Cons:
    - if your car has the parking light socket near (1-2 cm) the low beam socket, the plastic parts in these LED bulbs will partial...

    Brighter than the incandescent bulbs

    - very low energy consumption compared to original incandescent 5W - very long life, for all intents and purposes, longer than the life of the car itself - brighter than the original incandescent bulbs and they don't get as hot - they direct all light on on...
    Cons:
    - they are much more expensive than incandescent, but so is their nature :-)
