    Solid construction, works great

posted by slamto on 03/06/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A nice stand that makes room for a charging or data cable. Solid metal construction which is not flimsy at all. Perfect for the desk. Holds phone at a good angle that makes it viewable and usable while at a desk.
    Cons:
Can't think of any. It could come with better rubber feet to hold it more secure to the desk.

    Nice compact sight!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a very inexpensive rail mounted laser sight, but almost equivalent to much more expensive sights out there. Comes with two hex keys, one to attach to the rail, one to adjust the laser sight. Attaches very easily, switch movement is crisp.
    Cons:
Battery insertion is not obvious, you have a 50 / 50 chance of getting it right the first time. I doubt you will do any damage ...

    Compact scissors

posted by slamto on 01/28/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Compact scissors that give you a fair bit of control when cutting. They are spring loaded to they will pop back open.
    Cons:
Since the leverage point is closer to the blades, more force is required to use these. I use them to prune plants in the garden...

Great keyboard, but still needs a mouse.

    Pros:
This is a great tiny wireless keyboard for any HTPC or computer that is only used on a casual basis. The wireless receiver for your computer is tiny and out of the way. Power saving features and modes work great. Touch pad is good and responsive. Typing sur...
    Cons:
You cannot perform click-and-drag functions with the keyboard and touchpad!!!! ie. resizing windows, dragging icons cannot be p...

Great knife! Compact, easy to use, sharp

posted by slamto on 01/28/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This knife folds from a card into a knife, what more can I say? It's great for emergency situations and it's card form lets you store it in very convenient places such as a wallet, owners manual of a car, bag, etc. Nothing breaks off, when you're done, you ...
    Cons:
There is a small rotating piece that is the safety for the blade, that's all from keeping you from being poked by the blade.

power & data only extention cable, as it says

posted by slamto on 01/28/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This extends the USB (data) and the charging pins of the standard Apple dock connector. One end has the locking teeth (instead of the spring loaded variety in newer cables), which I actually prefer, cables last longer this way, and the connection is more se...
    Cons:
As advertised, there are no real cons, unless you don't like the colour.

Nice small & inexpensive, but a few shortcomings.

posted by slamto on 12/22/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Small lightweight unit that accepts many audio, video and picture formats. Great for playing videos at home, or running a video loop for a presentation. Comes with composite and component cables. Has connections for VGA, HDMI, USB and SD. One of the few...
    Cons:
Device defaults in HDMI mode, to switch video output ports, the remote is required. There are controls on the unit, but menus ...

Great price for an outdoor camera!

posted by slamto on 12/07/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is an outdoor camera with IR illumunation, and it's cheap! The IR illumination is automatic and works well. Image motion is smooth. I calculated the viewing angle to be approximately 130 degrees.
    Cons:
As the other review stated, the manual in the box is wrong and no power supply is included (although the information page never...

    Pretty interesting puzzle, poorly constructed.

posted by slamto on 12/04/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a pretty unique looking puzzle that is a great addition to anyone who collects puzzle cubes. This esentially is a 3 x 3 x 3 puzzle, with a bunch of pieces missing.
    Cons:
The construction of the puzzle is poor. Pieces do not fit well, and often bind when you move them. It almost feels that the p...

    esentially a 2x2 cube

posted by slamto on 12/04/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This puzzle is esentially a 2 x 2 cube with some hemispheres added to the faces of the sides. It makes for a nice looking puzzle. Mechanically the pieces move quite well, the sides seem firm and you have a lot of control with your fingers. It's also nice...
    Cons:
Sometimes if you move the pieces fast, the hemispheres may pop out. That's why I lowered the build rating in my review. You c...
