    standard ew-60c

posted by solarX on 08/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is exactly standard canon hood with model name on it (but without brand title) Broad enough not to cause vignetting on the wide angle and still pretty effective on the long position. Mounts on the fastenings on the lens so there is no problem to use in...
    Cons:
    Not at all.

    perfect choice for non-zoom lenses

posted by solarX on 08/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Pretty cheap for such quality - No vignetting for standart-to-tele lenses (no quality reducing for my old soviet 135mm Jupiter-13A) - Ring tightening works pretty well, the hood sits without any backlash.
    Cons:
    - This hood can not be installed reversed - there is no transport position so you can only detach it from lens. However if your...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Haha, compare this unit and original Canon battery price - there is nothing to discuss. I`ve found some complaints from forums that non-original batteries reports wrong change level or no level at all - this battery is perfect. I am using this battery with ...
    Cons:
    Definitely no one.

    Pros:
    - ~1-2 mm thick plastic protects from scratches very efficiently and doesn`t affect image! - Installation is very quick - just remove protective film and accurately glue to camera screen. That is all
    Cons:
    - It could be a little bit cheaper. Yes, i know that other protectors are much more expensive. I`ve used to ultimately low DX p...

Very good choice for canon 50mm f/1.8

posted by solarX on 07/09/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Since it looks too narrow this lens hood really does it job - it blocks any outside reflections well.
    Cons:
At first its plastic looks very fragile - the hood itself connects with mount ring not too tight (at least mine). But 3 months ...
