    Seems to do the job

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 09/10/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Black rather than white makes them less visible when lying around on the passenger seat of the car - thus not tempting burglars. It works - what more is to it? The iPod connector slides fine and the USB plug fits nicely.
    Cons:
I bought two, and one of them didn't work. The iPod connector looked a bit bent, this could be transportation damage. I don't k...

    Cheap, but bad build quality

    Pros:
It holds my phone. That's good. I did expect it to do so. The ball-type adjustment system on tha back is really useful, and definetely the best feature.
    Cons:
The suction cup... Sucks. (no pun intended). It falls off my window in like two days. The foam lining isn't really cut out for...

Works well, but not as described

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 04/08/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Easy to use, and works really well. Sound is good and operation is simple.
    Cons:
The description states that it comes with a sunvisor clip. Mine didn't. The parcel was both stomped on and ripped apart upon ar...

    Well-working robust and versatile

    Pros:
The panel does what it promises. I haven’t checked the actual current, but I use it to extend the life of a battery powered electric fence. On a sunny day, I can disconnect the battery, and the solar panel is able to power the electric fence transformer (Th...
    Cons:
Quite small. It would be nice if it was twice the area – it doesn’t even fill out half a window in a car… But then you can just...

Versatile charger for the price of nothing

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 01/17/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good looking, robust and well functioning. I use it to charge spare lead-acid batteries in the back of my van as I drive along. So the 12V input voltage is very useful. And in cas you need it for normal "plug in" use, it comes with a 100-240/12V p...
    Cons:
It is not great for lead-acid batteries. DOn't get me wrong, it charges them, and it doesn't damage them, but it will only char...

    Dirt-cheap well working charger

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 01/17/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It charges anything that is compatible with usb charging. Even my iPod, which won't be charged by an other, much more expensive charger. It is quite compact, and is utilizes a simple on-chip switchmode supply = low complexity = good reliability.
    Cons:
It gets quite hot when it is charging a stone dead cell phone or iPod. And since it is stuck in the lighter socket, the heat ha...

    Cheap, well-working camera

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 11/27/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Easy to install, easy to connect to PC, and OK field of vision. If I put it in the rear window of my Citroën C3, it will capture the windscreen the driver and passenger. Ideal as Rally on-board camera. The record-when-power-is-on works really well.
    Cons:
The microphone might as well not be there. It doesn't capture anything but noise anyway. Using the camera for a rally-car, I mi...

Cheap to buy, Easy to install

posted by stigmejlbjerg on 11/27/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very easy to install. It even comes with a drill to make the correct size hole in the bumper! No setup, no nothing, just connect wires, and you are rolling.
    Cons:
The green vehicle-outline markers on the screen can't me removed. This is annoying if they don't match your vehicle anyway. Con...
