Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Drivers available and tested on Vista, XP and Linux and works perfectly on all of them. Should work out of the box for Windows. Good receiving signal quality.
    Cons:
Not so good transmission strength. You will find that you are able to see your network way further than from where you can conn...

    Avoid this piece of junk

posted by stilte on 07/22/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It is a replica of an ACOG scope and looks the part from a distance. Can be used as a movie prop. It is slightly cheaper compared to other replicas. I might have received a lemon.
    Cons:
Many. Finishing was terrible. Poorly pressed and joined piece of rubbish. Holding it in my hand, it felt weighty and sturdy. Wh...

    Good value for money

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
For the price you are paying, the optics are great. It is equivalent to entry level bushnells and simmons and similar scopes. That's not entirely unexpected, since they were probably made in the same factory, to similar specifications. Durable enough to las...
    Cons:
Adjustment knobs feel a bit soft and may loosen over time. Illumination is nearly useless. Like other cheap scopes, it lights u...

Flimsy but ok for the price

posted by stilte on 03/25/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Can be used as a gift. LED is bright.
    Cons:
It feels cheap and light and plasticky, if there's such a word. I decided to keep it than give it and be called cheap. Unlikely...

    Not bad

    Pros:
They hold a decent amount of charge for a sufficient amount of time. Capacity stated seems to be correct.
    Cons:
None really. At this price, I shouldn't complain too much.

    Laser pointer on a gun

posted by stilte on 11/28/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Adjustable dot, which is the main concern if you intend to use it to aim at something. Build quality isnt too good but will last for quite a while on most rifles, unless you bumped it hard against a stone.
    Cons:
Build quality could be better. Inconvenient adjustment screws. Screws feel flimsy.

    Good full size mount

posted by stilte on 11/28/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Same as the other mount (5509), but this one is a full length one. High mounts, should fit up to 50mm diameter scopes. Lower price than retail, heavy construction.
    Cons:
Spring air rifles still rattle these mounts.

    So so

posted by stilte on 11/28/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
(insert favourite expletive)-load of batteries, low price
    Cons:
Poor packaging, batteries every where, some were dead. Not a surprise after reading the other reviews.
