    Excellent quality USB connectors.

    Pros:
    * Well-built USB A male connectors for DIY projects and professional use. * Unbeatable price. You won't probably find it cheaper anywhere else.
    Cons:
For a well laid-out PCB, no cons. May be difficult to hand solder them, but nothing a pair of «helping hands» won't s...

Working with TO-220 packages? Get yourself a bag of these!

    Pros:
    * These fit perfectly well, not like some other bad quality products being sold out there. * Won't probably get this any cheaper elsewhere. * Although a 1000 pieces seems to much at first, it ends up being a reasonable number.
    Cons:
    None, so far.

    Excellent quality boards, nice assortment.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    * Boards are made of FR-4 fiberglass & epoxy, and not the cheaper FR-2. * Holes are PTH (plated through hole), which means you won't be driving yourself crazy to take a signal from one layer to the other one. * All exposed copper is tinned, which allo...

    None, so far.

Nice and affordable transceiver, but beware of pin header pitch.

    Pros:
    * It's a cheaper option than most development kits. * Features a decent antenna (and the possibility to solder an SMA connector and use a better antenna) * Can be easily used in hobbyist RC projects. * Based on the CC1101, a powerful, yet affordable IC.
    Cons:
    * Connector pitch is 2 mm (instead of std 0.1", or 2.54mm), which requires the use of an adapter for use with a breadboard.

    A real bargain

    Pros:
Sturdy scissors with very sharp blades. Very good for countless DIY projects. The material looks like real stainless steel... and they're cheap!
    Cons:
They come in a flimsy plastic holder which is closed with tape and will leave a sticky feel after removing the tape. If you'll ...

    Pros:
Excellent kapton tape for an outstanding price. Withstands easily the high temperatures reached when doing SMD rework. It's also a good insulator and serves for many purposes other than soldering (e.g.: as a heat-resistant insulating material in devices tha...
    Cons:
None that I can think of.

    A fairly good deal

posted by talosds on 02/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very useful, much cheaper than the tools available where I live (Argentina). They look sturdy enough to last for years, if used appropriately. The package where they came is strong enough to eventually withstand rough handling at the post office.
    Cons:
Though sturdy, the plastic looks somewhat cheap. Instructions are written in Japanese.
