    Beautiful light

posted by thany on 06/04/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The light color that comes off of these lamps, is surpizingly nice. It's not as warm as an incandescant bulb, but it's close enough and definately outperfoms most LED lamps at similar price points, when it comes to warm color. Build quality is okay. It's p...
    Cons:
For a 5W lamp, one would expect more light. I suspect the LED modules used are not among the most efficient ones available. Whi...

    Nice quality good protection

posted by thany on 07/04/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice and soft padding to protect your laptop moderately well. The zipper is padded, too, so it won't scratch the sides of the laptop. The material is somewhat stretch, so it will probably fit ticker laptops as well.
    Cons:
The sleeve came packages folded in two, so it will have a nasty fold in the middle for (presumably) quite a while. Also, while ...

    Perfect replacement

posted by thany on 06/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I broke mine, so I ordered this replacement. And bly me is it a replacement! It's completely indistinguishable from the original. Even the plastic seems high grade stuff.
    Cons:
It has the Canon logo on both caps. Canon might not be too pleased with this, so I expect this item to go out of stock soon...

Just big enough to fit my telephoto

posted by thany on 06/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This bag is very soft wel well padded. It will protect a lens quite well, I imagine. The upside is that it will fit my Tamron 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD... The quality is quite alright. It seems to hold together, and the strap tightens and untightens easily...
    Cons:
It fits my aforementioned lens, only just. A lens any longer (or wider) than that will not fit. I don't like the fact that is ...

    Excellent quality and very strong

posted by thany on 06/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Being made of metal, presumably steel, it's a very strong lock. Presicely what one should expect of a device that secures your luggage. The dails click into place nicely and are easily readable.
    Cons:
Setting a passcode is a bit of a fiddly process. Twisting the lock 90 degress and pressing it down while setting the numbers. I...

    Good quality, nice and compact

posted by thany on 04/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Build quality is good enough and it works like a charm. It's got only the one button, so it's not very hard to use. It works well with my Canon 550D.
    Cons:
It seems as if it runs out battery quite soon. I've been using it with the battery that came with it, and even after only a few...

    Good for your Sony laptop

posted by thany on 04/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Build quality is very good. The card fits well into a MemoryStick slot. A microSD also fits snugly into the card, not too tight and not too loose. I have seen transfer speeds of around 15MB/s, which is not too bad.
    Cons:
Transfer speed could be higher. MemoryStick Duo PRO can go up to 20MB/s and the card I used was able to do 21MB/s in a native S...

    Don't use it too long

posted by thany on 01/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This flashlight is very bright. That's clear every time I use it. It's also very light and very small, making it perfect when going o a trip. There's always a spot for it in the suitcase. The color of the light is not particularly warm - just what you'd exp...
    Cons:
The screw-to-switch-on is a bit fiddly. It doesn't switch on to a constant burn right away, you need to screw it down a little ...

    Mildly cold weather friend

posted by thany on 01/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's a straight piece of cloth, let's be honest, but it can do so much! I mainly used it to wrap around my neck to protect from the cold. I also sometimes wore it inside, because it makes it just a little warmer. The cloth stretches, so it's easy to put on ...
    Cons:
The cloth is very thin, making it less useful for very cold circumstances. The cloth also seems to attract static charge quite ...

    Handy tools need sharpening

posted by thany on 01/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's a nice and small design, with a good selection of tools. It's not bulky like most others, so there's always a spot in your suitcase to put it on, when going on a trip. The designs looks cool as well. I also like that it has a philips screwdriver, this ...
    Cons:
Some of the tools (notably the scissors) are not very sharp. The knife is reasonably sharp, but could be better. Surprizingly t...
