    Great value

posted by the_mcmc on 12/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Small size; not smallest possible with CR123 but pretty good - Light weight - Decent output - very comparable to actual Lux 3
    Cons:
    - Threads a bit rough sometimes, but generally ok - Some reflector fuzz visible in head, though not in beam - Not each light is...

Great value, decent output, long runtime

posted by the_mcmc on 12/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Small - Reliable (so far) clicky - Easy UI - Loooong runtime - I left mine on for almost a day, 8 hrs or so at a time, and still usable output, about 15-30 lumens.
    Cons:
    - None.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
    - It's a clickie! And seems to work great (had for one day) - Very slim - Nice build and classy glossy finish (though who knows how long it'll last)
    Cons:
    - Not a real Luxeon, but beam is actually very white for these chinese lux-ish knockoffs.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Price! - Pretty bright (5 leds, after all) - Looks nice, and slim
    Cons:
    - Output is not linear over battery life, but still decent. - Head can unscrew while on keychain duty (if banging around) - bu...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Sturdiest build of all 3aaa lights I've gotten. - Flouresces pretty decently.
    Cons:
    - Not as flourescent as I'd thought it'd be (i.e., compared to my CR2 Ultrafire modded with royal blue lux III light) - but for...

Neat little light, get 1/20 draco for 1/130 price

posted by the_mcmc on 06/01/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - How can you beat this price?? - Looks very slick and nifty, tiniest functional keychain light I've seen.
    Cons:
    - Looks a bit flimsy, though mine has held up. - The keychain attachment point is probably the weakest element, switch to a be...

    I love this light!!!!!

    posted by the_mcmc on 05/24/2007

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Great small size! - Awesome twisty action, fires up every time even without much attention to lube. - Great fit on keychain, good output - and even better with SSC mod.
    Cons:
    - Black paint wears fairly quickly, but looks cool and I think it has 'character', plus it shows it's been used and loved.

I would get the Lyckeby 9-led 3-aaa light

    posted by the_mcmc on 05/24/2007

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Pretty good output, more than 9-led version, but visually not necessarily 28/9 times more.
    Cons:
    - Heads are not very well fitted to bodies on about 1/3 of the ~7 or so I have. - Light output drops quickly; it soon drops to...

Decent light, wish they had a Cree version.

posted by the_mcmc on 05/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Great HAIII natural anodize. - Nice styling and looks. - CR2 battery, so very small size.
    Cons:
    - Hard to turn, even with lube. - For the price point, should have Cree or SSC versions now - I would buy several in a heartbe...
