Very nice light for a very good price

posted by thefezman on 02/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I can't say enough about this light. For ten bucks, it's got a pretty good brightness level, but with the zoom all the way to throw, it is impressive! The build quality is very good, much better than some $20 lights I've got from here.
    Cons:
I sort of wish the zoom was a screw instead of push-pull, but the push-pull is quicker, if less precise.

Works OK, nothing to write home about

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's very inexpensive compared to buying one at the local store or whatever.
    Cons:
Didn't seem very accurate, although it caught probably about 95% of the steps, so it's close enough for most purposes I'm sure.

    Works just fine

posted by thefezman on 02/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Looks well built, just like the original controller holder. The controller fits in this carrier just fine, doesn't appear to be any fit or finish issues.
    Cons:
It doesn't have a laser sight? :) That would make it sort of cheap looking, but still would be cool... maybe if it was switched...

    Makes a nice present

posted by thefezman on 02/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Picture quality is perfectly acceptable. Battery life is good. Slideshow is decent, but I wish it had a random mode.
    Cons:
Feels a little flimsy. I had another one (in black, sku 21379) that broke after a few months, but this one is still working. H...

Nice pocket light, not super durable

posted by thefezman on 02/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright light, simple operation, seems hefty and well built. Very nice for carrying around in your pocket.
    Cons:
It got dropped once onto concrete and appears to have a loose connection, it took a bit of playing with to get it to come on ag...

Nice drop in, very configurable, ok learning curve

posted by thefezman on 02/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good brightness level "infinitely adjustable" from very dim to very bright Mode memory seems to work just fine. Able to set it at a very dim level, which is good for most uses, and has good battery life.
    Cons:
I wish it was just the 0-100 mode, and no stupid strobe or SOS modes, but oh well. Takes a bit of getting used to the interfac...

    Pros:
Picture quality is perfectly acceptable. Battery life is good. Slideshow is decent, but I wish it had a random mode.
    Cons:
Lasted a few months before it got some lines in the LCD. My wife carried it around with her keys so it could have just got bump...

Great P60 Host, very bright red module

posted by thefezman on 02/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very cheap P60 host, I've tried multiple modules in it with no problems. Fits with 2 x protected 16340 or 1 x protected 18650 just fine. Great for having a spare P60 host. I've tried with white LEDs, infrared, UV, and a xenon bulb, all work just fine.
    Cons:
Host doesn't have the greatest build quality, but still makes a good general P60 host.

Nice drop-in, puts out a ton of UV light

posted by thefezman on 12/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    * Emitter is mounted directly to the emitter body, not on a star, so better heat transfer is possible (although the body is brass, so I'm not sure it helps any) * Puts out quite a bit of UV light * Fits well in my Ultrafire C1 light
    Cons:
    * Threads between the emitter body and the reflector were very loose * No insulation between the reflector and emitter body, bu...

So much fun, must buy more!

posted by thefezman on 12/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    * Very strong little magnets * Lots of fun to draw stuff and make shapes with on the fridge * So much fun they're addicting... I have over 200 now
    Cons:
    * I wish they were cheaper, so I could buy like 1000 magnets :) * I'm afraid to let them bang together since other people said ...
