    Good glasses for the price

    Pros:
I'd been looking for a good set of geek glasses for reading with; I need magnification between 1.5x & 2x these days 8{ and these fitted the bill perfectly. Being a child of the '80s, the fact they make me look like Michael Douglas in 'Falling Down' was ...
    Cons:
The box they come in and everything inside, in fact, smells of the usual 'coal-tar' plastic smell that I have grown to expect f...

Fantastic bit of kit for very little money

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Took over a month to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I'm using it with an Arduino. The 1.0 library only includes example code for the 3 pin sensor, and this one is four. Not to worry though, a very quick google search yields many easy-to-understand examp...
    Cons:
I can't find any cons at this price.

    Pros:
This appears to be very well constructed. All the solder joints look pretty decent and it fits nicely on top of the deumillenova (uno) board. None of the pins arrived bent either, which was good.
    Cons:
I used the Adafruit library for this, but with remapped pins from the standard settings. Doing this, I could get basic operatio...

    The little torch that could.

    Pros:
I bought this just before it sold out! I also bought one of the xm-l t6 zoom-flood torches that professes to have 900 lumens that was twice the price of this one. I've owned a bunch of p4 torches and know how generally decent they are in terms of output. ...
    Cons:
There are no cons - certainly not at this price. The only thing I would mention is that there is a little tiny bit of slop arou...

Great stuff. Perfect for my needs.

    Pros:
I've got a bunch of rechargable batteries just rattling around my parts bin and it really annoys me how messy it all is. For that reason, I bought these! Perfect for my needs. I like the fact that you get a variety of AA, AAA and in particular CR123A.
    Cons:
There are no cons, certainly not at this price. The plastic is good, doesn't crack. They open easily and close well, with no ri...

    Great functionality and great price

    Pros:
Bought this to test in a 2000 Nissan Almera Tino and a 2003 Hyundai Coupe. It works very well indeed. I use the usual free android packages and free PC package to log data and it works perfect. I was able to remove engine warning lights etc., so it more tha...
    Cons:
There are no cons. Although, I didn't notice a difference between both vehicles, which I attribute to the engine-management sys...

    Good, functional headlight

    Pros:
Bought this for my mother, who works in a carehome environment and requires the use of both her hands when going between buildings. Batteries last well and unit provides plenty of light and it apparently very comfortable to wear.
    Cons:
No cons at all. It does what it says on the tin.

    Pros:
I bought this for my UK Hyundai coupe and the price was very cheap indeed. From other reviews and some things I read, it looked like it might be the wrong handedness - meaning that the key was completely flipped in it orientation, if that makes any sense. I...
    Cons:
The key was not suitable for me, but no biggy, the price was cheap enough for me not to be bothered. It was a speculative purch...

Very bright and not too expensive

posted by thekanester on 10/19/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I bought these for a project car that my father was working on. He'd never installed a pair of these and wanted to give them a try. They went in very quickly and appeared to be very bright, with no flicker and a good colour - not too blue or pink.
    Cons:
Not really a con, as I knew it would be like this, but the bulb becomes extremely warm. The project car had plastic lenses so w...

More orange than yellow, but still good.

    Pros:
These arrived within 13 days from DX, which was great, as I'm always impatient for goodies to arrive. They arrived wrapped carefully inside a bubble-wrap bag, in turn wrapped in a jiffy bag. Therefore, everything arrived sound, with no bent pins, etc. They ...
    Cons:
None at all. Everything arrived as it should and it's all good.
