    Needs some adjustments

posted by thetron on 11/10/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Lights up automatically. Sensor seems to work flawlessly. Shut's down againg once there is no movement. Does not turn on in daylight, saving us those batteries.
    Cons:
Badly designed battery comparment. Contacts are made in such a way that the + pole on the battery barely touches the contact. T...

Not even close, but a great gadget

posted by thetron on 11/10/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
A must-have gadget for all photo enthusiasts. Will definately draw some attention at work when you fill it with coffee. I got this one because it has a metal lip that makes the drinking part of it easyer to clean. Also, it's the thermo mug version, keeping ...
    Cons:
The finish isn't even close to the lens. The red ring has a different hue and the black plastic is really rough compared to the...

    Cat version! Not dog version.

posted by thetron on 11/10/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Most effective grooming tool on the market. Although packing says this is the cat version for large cats, it works great on my labrador. I borrowed a friends Furminator dog version, and actually I think they are identical. Anyhow, this tool rocks, and for a...
    Cons:
Well, I got a little disappointed when the packiging said cat version when the DX description says "dog deshredding tool&q...

    Brilliant!

posted by thetron on 11/04/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very practical, very comfortable, good build quality, much cheaper than other brands. I like the mounting plate and how it´s possible to angle the fastener point. I had no problems with the length of the strap. It´s possible to still use a tripod without ta...
    Cons:
    Can´t think of any.

    Bad design

posted by thetron on 11/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Bright enough (if it works). Two modes. Metal casing. Sideways adjustable handlebar mount.
    Cons:
Two springs makes contact with the LED unit and the battery casing - these springs will bend when the LED unit is screwed in pl...

    Nice toy, but not sharp

posted by thetron on 03/11/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Makes it possible to focus much closer to subject. My Canon EF 50mm F1.8II needs 45cm to focus. With this filter it will focus 10-15cm away from subject. A nice toy to play around with macro shots without having to pay for an expensive macro lens.
    Cons:
Reduces image quality. Massive loss of resoulution and sharpness. Some CA too. I'm not able to mount my lens cap properly on th...

    Needs some filing

posted by thetron on 03/10/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Looks exactly like the original lens hood. Does it´s job like it´s supposed to. Can be reverse mounted when camera is stored in camera bag. Easy to mount.
    Cons:
Mine needed some filing. There were some plastic edges left from production that prevented it from being mounted correctly. Aft...

    Bad design

posted by thetron on 11/17/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Locks good to a standard lightstand. - Cold shoe has groves so that the pins on the flash can't touch the metal. - A spring secures the umbrella. - hole for the umbrella is big enough to fit larger umbrellas.
    Cons:
    - The cold shoe is way to long - Cold shoue fastens with a screw positioned in the middle of the shoe, but a standard flash sh...

    A must have

posted by thetron on 11/17/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Diffuses light from a speedlite very good. Size is very handy - make shure you keep that plastic cover that it ships with as it will keep your umbrella from getting dirty and also keep it together during transport and storing. Can be used very close to subj...
    Cons:
Might be a bit fragile, but look after it and it will last. Light loss is quite high, but I guess that will be the same with al...

    Just works!

posted by thetron on 11/04/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Full ETTL support. Gets your flash off the camera. Locks well on camera hot shoe. Treads for mounting flash on a tripod. Good price.
    Cons:
Cord is a bit stiff and not as stretchy as I had hoped for. Cord could be longer.
