close enough to the real deal for me

posted by trickyasafox on 01/20/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Solid construction and drops right in to my aluminum lower after I popped off the old trigger guard. It even comes with decent instructions if you find that process difficult.
    Cons:
None really, the packaging is good- instructions are included, and the TG is quite well made.

Good build construction, not compatible with real deal

posted by trickyasafox on 01/20/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
cheap, well made, and an accurate replica of a real Mag pul MOE product.
    Cons:
This is one of the magpul products on DX that cannot be re-appropriated to fit a real carbine. it lacks the proper construction...

Does what it is supposed to do well

posted by trickyasafox on 01/20/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Rubber O-ring seems to provide a good seal, and I have had no issues with the container coming unscrewed or loosening up over time- despite keeping it on my key chain.
    Cons:
If you are not careful when filling the canister and screwing it together, you can crush and cut a few of the pills you put int...

No reason not to buy these

posted by trickyasafox on 11/16/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The price point- for 1.35 USD per battery, these things are a great value. They last as long as all but the most highend brands, and perform admirably. Never a dead cell.
    Cons:
    none immediately come to mind.

Range isn't great, but mouse works well

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
A solid well constructed mouse that when within range, conveys accurate movements and works well. Does everything you could ask. It also has pretty good battery life.
    Cons:
Range is a little short. probably under 2m. If you are using this for a projector / talk it can be annoying. I also wouldn't us...

useful stock cuff for spare ammo

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It comes with loops for both rifles and shotguns, and has a useful pocket for storing gear. I used mine on a bantam style stock for a TC Encore. The loops worked well (shotgun loops) for 20 gauge ammunition. The Rifle loops worked best with 30 cal stuff. The...
    Cons:
The inner material is like an odd plastic. it holds up fine but looks cheap. The stock seems to hold up well though. Also, it d...

solid mount for either left or right handed shooters

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a solid mount that withstands the recoil of real firearms. I have set mine up on two different rifles- a 9mm AR15 and a 223 AR15. It withstood a lot of rounds through both without coming undone.
    Cons:
The mount is both large and heavy. For some people this is not a con, but I switched to using this mount from a 1in scope mount...

    Surprisingly well made

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Trigram screwdrivers are getting more common; this two pack gives you a common size trigram for most electronics (I used mine to disassemble cell phones and harddrive enclosures) that is fairly durable. I throw one in my work bag and leave one at home for o...
    Cons:
The handle is a little small if you have large hands, but it works well enough.

holds it shape and works well

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Easy to use, and it stays coiled to keep it from getting tangled / getting in the way. I use it to hook a smart phone up to my car's audio system. It performs that task well.
    Cons:
I don't believe it really stretches to 50 cm. you have a more useful range of about 30 cm. if you tried to pull it to 50 it wou...

great lights, turn on a little too easily

posted by trickyasafox on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
These lights are very bright, and priced right. They come on strong split rings and are surprisingly durable. To activate, you can either manipulate the switch for constant on or squeeze them for temporary on. They run off of 2 2016 batteries, and for the p...
    Cons:
The lights activate a bit too easily. sometimes they will temporarily activate in your pocket, giving you a bit of a glow. The ...
