Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
You can find 5 mW green lasers at almost any "geeky" store for well over $70. So yeah, for the price tag it's a steal. If you always wanted to have one of those green beasts, go get it!
    Cons:
The power system is a joke. 5-10 seconds (even on a fresh batteries), and the beam almost disappears. My infrared thermometer d...

    Pros:
Just a few years ago, I used to pay over $100 for an adapter of this class. Now, you can have on at the cost of a cup of Caramel Macchiato. Impressive.
    Cons:
The idea is to have only the "hat" of the adapter sticking out of you laptop's side, right? Well, it won't go all the...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It's cheap, and it includes quite a few picks. If you don't want to bother making your own picks - go for it.
    Cons:
It is either nickel or chrome plated, so eventually you will end up with some bits and pieces of plating material in the lock m...

    Excellent bang for the buck!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It's cheap. It's small. It's durable enough to survive your kid (but it probably won't survive your dog). Detail level is fantastic! And illumination is a really nice touch - you will have a blast driving around the house in the dark!
    Cons:
Needs a smooth surface to run. Asphalt is too rough, but concrete will do. Hardwood floors or linoleum are the best. Don't run ...

posted by ttalbot on 11/26/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Excellent quality, especially when you consider the cost. Arrived intact, neatly packaged with protective caps. Very useful for any UHF/VHF project, such as WiFi external antenna conversion, RC Tx antenna conversion, etc.
    Cons:
Absolutely no complaints. It does what it supposed to do.
