    Good quality desoldering wick

posted by v14d4m1r on 01/01/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
For the price, it's very high quality. If you were to pay this much at a retail store, you'd get useless junk. The flux helps a lot.
    Cons:
It's a little tricky to use effectively, but that's pretty much true of all desoldering tools.

    Great!

    Pros:
It's leaps and bounds over a wet sponge. Less thermal shock means that the soldering tip doesn't cool down as much, and it lasts longer. There's also no cleanup involved. It's great. It's also got rubber feet, so it won't slide around your work bench.
    Cons:
Fine solder particles can accumulate inside - not fine enough to be a breathing hazard, especially since it's trapped under a b...

    It works.

    Pros:
It screws and unscrews tri-wing screws. Useful. It holds up well enough for a 99-cent item. I was able to take apart my Gameboy Color to re-route the audio for LSDJ.
    Cons:
The handle is too small to get a good grip, but hey, it's 99 cents. You can always wrap your t-shirt around it if you come acro...

    Decent budget headphone amp.

    Pros:
Great. It amplifies sound, it's got a durable aluminum housing, and it looks nice. For its price, this thing is out of the world. For something this cheap and designed by a relatively unknown Chinese company, it's surprisingly well-designed and built.
    Cons:
It's obvious that they didn't spend too much time thinking about the housing design. I'd have preferred something that didn't l...

    It makes sound. Good enough.

    Pros:
It makes stereo sound, and it's portable. You can power it either through your USB port, or with 4 AAA batteries. It's got a nice blue LED. It's also surprisingly durable - I have dropped this thing many times, and it's still holding up.
    Cons:
You probably shouldn't get this if you plan on listening to a lot of music. There's just no bass at all, but then you shouldn't...

I wouldn't use these if I was paid to. I don't consider myself an audiophile, nor do I have particularly sensitive ears, but I ...

    Pros:
Well, it works. I don't have a genuine charge cable to compare to, but it connects to the controller, and charges the battery.
    Cons:
It acts up sometimes - the battery would be dead, yet the charger only charges for a couple seconds before it goes green and st...

    Pros:
It's a screen protector. Decent adhesion. Super cheap. Protects the screen from scratches. Considering that the screen is plastic and prone to scratching, I consider this to be an essential accessory for a PSP. Heck, I consider a screen protector essential ...

    Pros:
It does what it's supposed to. The texture of the cloth removes fingerprints and smudges very easily without leaving a scratch. It's definitely better than your standard microfiber cloth.
    Cons:
It would've been nice to have a choice for color. I got pink. :(
