    Great for a beater bike

posted by veryperson on 03/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is perfect for a winter/commuter/city bike. I installed it on two of my "vehicles" and they seem to function perfectly after a few 100 kilometers.
    Cons:
The unite looks a little fat on the cockpit. Also, during the installation, I had to find the exact position to make the sensor...

    Good looking helmet

posted by veryperson on 03/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Good looking helmet and light (286g exactly!), comfortable straps, nice color and finish. The logos are not too ugly either and the quality seems pretty good considering the price (similar to $80 helmets I could buy locally).
    Cons:
I did measure my head to make sure I had the right size, but the helmet has a peculiar shape... It feels like it was made to fi...

Good design ruined by poor materials

posted by veryperson on 03/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a good designe and the mounting is solid. The rotating joint is also firm and stays in place.
    Cons:
The rubber "ladder" strap is so thin, elastic and fragile that it snapped in the first few days of use. I ordered two...

Great for mounting on a kayak

posted by veryperson on 10/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It seems solid enough and the screws hold on tight. The suction cup is rather useful for a car window and maybe a fiberglass kayak, but not on my plastic kayak since the surface is kind of orange peel-ish. I had to use a zip tie to hold it to the deck riggi...
    Cons:
The metal parts will rust eventually, but again, I'm not using it for what it was intended for: inside a vehicle.

    Extremely user unfriendly

posted by veryperson on 06/22/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
A lot of info on the screen and clear numbers. The mounting is easy and only needs one battery unlike the wireless models. I like the fact that it tells temperature (does't seem very accurate unfortunately) and it has many trip distance/time functions I had...
    Cons:
The instructions are wrong. They don't give the right indications to setup the computer, I had to try everything during 10 minu...

    Not waterproof...

posted by veryperson on 06/22/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I first tried on the goggles and found the strap comfortable and the lens very clear. Also, they are good looking in my opinion.
    Cons:
I received a pair totally different from the pictures: see customer pictures from cbridi. The first time I entered the water an...

One of the best tail light on this site

posted by veryperson on 05/15/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Good build quality: water resistant, solid housing, good "strong" mounting/clip system. The illumination is not as bright as more expesive lights, but enough for use in the dark (as opposed to daytime) and acceptably visible from the sides!
    Cons:
Unlike the description, this light contains 4 LEDS. 2 lo-power leds at the bottom, and 2 higher-power leds behind the optic len...

A lot in a small package

posted by veryperson on 11/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Small and lightweight, yet very powerful, FINALLY! Nice beam, more flood than throw because of small reflector. The flood is very nice for bike use. Most useful setting is MID because it's still bright but saves energy (but I have not tested run time).
    Cons:
Clickie had a weird behavior I have not seen before: after a few seconds on a mode, you have to click twice to get to the next ...

    Great to replace 24in fluorescent

posted by veryperson on 10/07/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The light strip was installed in the bathroom under the mirror/cabinet assembly were a 24'' T12 20W 3000K fluorescent was previously being used. This light strip is a great alternative as it provides almost the same brightness, same color temp for less than...
    Cons:
The wires broke during installation. I had to resolder better quality wires to the strip. There's no easy way to mount it: I ha...

    Nice flood light

posted by veryperson on 10/07/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
One lamp installed in the shower ceiling. This lamp is perfect because it is closed, unlike other ceiling lamps which have openings around the LEDs where water could splash and touch the wiring. Unlike the other reviewer, my unit came completely assembled,...
    Cons:
The only quality problem was with the 3 springs/brackets that hold the light in the ceiling. They work well, but are a bit flim...
