    Pros:
Very sharp, good alignment of the blades, nice coating. Comes with protective tip to keep the working part straight and free from damage, and you from bleeding. Sits nicely in the hand. Works miracles on tiny repair magnet wire!
    Cons:
the handles could be a bit broader, but in general - It's good!

    Pros:
It's yellow. It's flat. It's thick. It's broad. You can't mistake it. You'll never forget it anywhere, because it just looks so weird. It won't tangle - it can't. The connectors are well built. It instills trust in me. The length is perfect for carrying in ...
    Cons:
    None.

    Good player, insufficient screen

    Pros:
I got this unit to build into a countertop - eventually I had to take it apart to fit it inside, but that was planned for anyways. Amplifier has plenty of power (I'd estimate it around 2W per channel) to drive small speakers. USB sticks get easily recogni...
    Cons:
One thing I didn't like was that the display has a very limited resolution - it's actually a 4*7seg display. You won't be able ...

    Cheap and Reliable

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The module registers as a serial port when discovered by windows, without the need for specialized drivers and the such. Connection is reliable - expect about 5-7 meters indoors with walls, and much better outdoors, although this I haven't tested. AT Comman...
    Cons:
It's a bit unclear how to set up the module at first. The module is in configuration mode until you pair it, and will respond t...

    Great Arduino compatible

posted by wheezardth on 01/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Wonderful Arduino compatible, better in every aspect than the original Leonardo IMHO. MiniUSB cable, SPI broken out in a header, 3.3 / 5v switchable operational voltage, reliable voltage regulators that don't run hot, good quality connectors, and a neat loo...
    Cons:
Serial port numbers will change everytime you reset the board (not during programming) or re-plug it. Could lead to annoyance a...

    Reliable connectors, good length

posted by wheezardth on 01/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This band cable is awesome. The different colors make it so easy to differentiate signal lines when wiring and breadboarding! I liked them so much, that I built some in permanently in one of my projects. The connectors are crimped, and very reliable - hold ...
    Cons:
Hardly any. I'd buy more if they were a bit less expensive, but my bundle is not anywhere near to being used up.

Almost too good for prototyping use

posted by wheezardth on 01/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This board is wonderful. The two sides are separated by insulated component vias, so you basically can have a 2 layer proto board. Soldering to this thing is almost a spiritual experience, and you will be very pleased by the nice thickness, smoothly milled ...
    Cons:
Slightly pricey, and you might find it hard to just bury this board inside a project forever. You'll want to use it again and a...

    Reliable for detecting hard objects

posted by wheezardth on 01/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The module is very easy to use in the Arduino IDE due to a few nice libraries. It's dirt cheap, and compared to the SHARP distance sensors does the same job. Very good accuracy!
    Cons:
The detection cone is quite narrow. Also, readings are not reliable if the surface you are "detecting" absorbs sound ...

    Very easy application

posted by wheezardth on 01/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good low profile heatsinks, self-adhesive is stable and does not soften too much under heat. Very easy to apply to discrete components - I use them among other things to cool my RaspberryPi's core, voltage regulator and USB/Ethernet controller. Every system...
    Cons:
Slightly low surface area - might need something more substantial for higher power-dissipating parts.
