Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This Transcend 133X 4GB Compact Flash CF Memory Card is pretty fast in terms of access times, and could easily be used as a replacement hard disk. Seems to be of good quality, too.
    Cons:

    Jack-of-all trades!

posted by zxnihundre on 02/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is like a Swiss army knife - very useful multi-purpose tool. Covers many common USB plugs, for printers, cameras, cell phones, etc, and the standard USB-male A.
    Cons:
You can't make it fit in tight places, unless you open the lid by removing the three screws.

    Tiny, but handy converter

posted by zxnihundre on 02/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This handy little item is a problem solver these days, when the motherboard producers have been reducing costs by including only one IDE port. For those of you who have older components, such as an IDE hard disk or IDE CD/DVDRW burner, just plug the include...
    Cons:
No manual included, could be all kinds of problems, like incompatible burners (Nec ND-3500A) or software issues, BIOS-settings ...

    A good sound/movie cable

posted by zxnihundre on 02/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Heavy build quality, seems to be a solid Hdmi-cable. Both ends have a layer against corrosion, as well as shielding against overcurrents. Quite stiff, 180 cm of length, and comes with both plugs in plastic covers. Shipped in a padded envelope as a letter,...
    Cons:
Had to tighten both plug fittings, but that's nothing. Maybe it could have been shorter ?

    Works just fine

posted by zxnihundre on 01/21/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works fine in conjunction with a CF-card, thus acting as a cheap and simple SSD-unit.
    Cons:
Very weak pins that are much too easily bended. So mount it cautiously! Might be a bit short of space on your mobo, depending o...
