  • Cheap, but unreliable

    posted bylowrider on 10/27/2011

Inexpensive, relatively bright, came with extra bubble wrap for protection during transit, easy plug & play installation. Like a previous reviewer, I found the quality to be at best so-so. I ordered a total of six pairs (separate orders over the a... Read more

  • First impressions

The good: - fair price - no fake logos anywhere, packaging says "MP4 Multimedia Player", no markings on device except for two hologram stickers - works, looks like it does what it says it does - ton of features (never felt the need to record radio... Read more

  • Novelty knife

    posted bylowrider on 12/02/2010

Surprisingly nice novelty knife. Comes in a box with a neck chain (despite the "chain not included" marking on the back of the box), an extra screw and a money clip that attaches in place of one of the scales with a T3 screw (the chain holder out... Read more

  • Good

Price. You get 10 disposable surgical masks for less than $2. As ubiubi mentioned, these do have the metal band (used to achieve a better fit). They're fairly comfortable so if you do any work where using a respirator isn't necessary but you'd be... Read more

  • Good light, excellent value

    posted bylowrider on 09/08/2010

I was pleasantly surprised by this little flashlight, even though I have other lights that have an Osram Golden Dragon emitter. It's plenty bright but what makes it stand out for me, is its perfectly smooth beam. The hot spot is fairly large and a... Read more

  • No major complaints

    posted bylowrider on 05/25/2010

The light I received is pretty decent and even though it's not perfect, I don't really have any major complaints. The finish is gray and pretty nice, just like in the pictures. It takes protected Trustfire 14500s and output is pretty much what The... Read more

  • Better than the gold and silver version

    posted bylowrider on 05/06/2010

This is the black and silver version of sku.8527 to which it is mostly identical. Cheap. Pretty good-looking as long as you don't look too closely. The build quality seems to be slightly better. Unfortunately, the clasp is equally fragile and seem... Read more

  • Looks like a toy

    posted bylowrider on 04/28/2010

It's cheap but it also looks cheap and sort of feels that way too. The LEDs in particular make it looks like a toy. I don't want to complain too much about a $4 lighter but even if you're strictly looking for a novelty item it's not all that great... Read more

  • Not bad

    posted bylowrider on 04/28/2010

If this lighter wasn't so prone to scratches that ruin the illusion of having a somewhat expensive-looking lighter, it would be great. It's still a good lighter and it's definitely worth the money but the build quality of mine really isn't all for... Read more

  • Really nice

    posted bylowrider on 04/28/2010

This is probably the best lighter I've bought from DX. They really got this one right. It feels nice and solid without being too heavy. There are no misspelled words, no LED gimmicks and it works reliably even in windy weather. The specs are as of... Read more
