NEW-10BB (123088) & NEW-10B (123406) differences

  • savoulius Wednesday, March 26, 2014 8:44 PM Reply
    Hello,

I would like to ask a question to anyone that might had this query before. What are the differences between the NEW-10BB (123088) & NEW-10B (123406) flashlights? (pages http://www.dx.com/p/new-10bb-cree-q5-3-mode-310lm-white-led-flashlight-w-strap-charger-black-1-x-cr123a-16340-123088#.UzLG0txMrrI and http://www.dx.com/p/new-10b-cree-q5-3-mode-310lm-white-led-flashlight-w-strap-black-1-x-cr123-or-1-x-16340-123406#.UzLHx9xMrrK respectively). The only differences that i can see in their product pages, is that the NEW-10BB comes with a charger/battery included and that its brightness is higher, even though i am not sure if this is accurate (310LM vs 220~250LM).

    Thanks

The only difference between the 2 lights, is that someone did an error report for sku.123406 and pointed out that it's not 310 lm. It was originally listed at 310 lm. also.

The charger and battery with sku.123088 are garbage, but will probably work if you don't want to buy a better charger/battery.

Nice little light btw. I've had one for over a year now.

Thank you for the prompt and detailed reply. So its basically the same flashlight, shipped with a battery/charger in 123088. I will go for that one, since i already own a cr123a and i wouldnt mind a spare one and a charger for 2.40€. Cheers

Just a word of warning. The battery that comes with this light is a rechargeable 16340. Do NOT try to recharge a CR123A. An RCR123A can be recharged though. Also, the light will be quite a bit brighter with the 16340, but a good CR123A will give much longer runtime.

I didn't want your new charger and the CR123A to go up in flames. It has happened.

Feel free to ask any questions in the future. I'm not a flashlight expert, but there are a few here. :)
