1xAA, over 250 lumens, NO ZOOM, under $10?
what i want is the thinnest, lightest, brightest single AA light i can get

do not care about modes, do not want zoom [heavy], battery life
just want small, light, bright, 1xAA
    under $10 would be nice
    what is it?

    thanks!

    Wishful thinking.
NO! I don't know why DX screwed up the site so badly.

there are plenty out there that have everything but the "no zoom'' feature

why wouldn;t ''no zoom'' be cheaper than ''yes zoom''?

Over 250 lm with 1XAA? Not in the real world, or I'd have several of them.

You might see them on sites that are total B.S. regarding lm ratings or battery capacities, but none exist that I know of.

The 2 lights that come closest to what you're looking for are sku.167987 and sku.18629. The second light (Tank) would probably be closer to it's rating than the Fandyfire.

All the lights with higher lm ratings use 1XAA/1X14500. 14500 batteries are rechargeable Li-ion that have more than double the voltage of a AA cell, and will NOT be near as bright with a 1.2V or 1.5V battery.

I have neither of those lights so I can't recommend either of them. If I had to choose one, I'd go with the Tank.

    edit - added NOT

The URL you posted shows ALL the AA lights, not just one.

The Sipik SK-68 seems to have a lot of good reviews and for the price its probably an excellent value. I don't have one to recommend, mainly because I don't like zoom lights. It won't be close to 260 lm. with a AA though. But for that price you can order 2 of them. :)

The only advice I can give, is to read the reviews and then decide.

    edit - typo

==i have the 130 LM SK-68 (there are 2 actually) one already, which is the main reason i want the ''260 LM" one

    sku.158184

Edit - Mmm, I think it's had a price drop since I last looked at it, and it's even cheaper from http://www.dxlisting.com/p/o/158184. Not much more than sku.39585 now. The Sipik 68 torches are quite popular and quite bright for a single AA. I've given away a couple. I like thi colour of that one (and the price).
