Tool for tightening main blade screw

  • serratus Saturday, September 18, 2010 1:46 AM Reply
A lot of DX knives use this 5 point screw for controlling the tightness of the main blade. Mine are getting lose and I don't have a tool to tighten this weird screw. Anyone know what the name of this screw type is so I can go buy a tool? Does DX sell this tool?

    Example: http://www1.dealextreme.com/productimages/sku_32577_4.jpg

The weird looking screw on the left side of that picture is what I am talking about.

No, it is not torx. That's for the little screws around the handle.

I've tried using quiet a few things trying to stick it into the little holes to tighten it. It does tighten just a little bit, but hard to get pressure on it to tighten it enough. Plus, I scratched up one trying to do this.

I have the exact same knife, and it is simply a larger Torx screw. The little holes are simply a decoration.
