    Impression:Good product;

    Pros: Heavy metal lock, metal electromagnetic locking bolt, fail-safe will open in event of power loss. Just two connections so you only need to apply power! Cons: If the locking bolt is reachable it can be depressed by hand to open the lock. The electromagnet isn't that strong.

    Does what it is supposed to do. A magnetic switch is included to make sure that the bolt is only activated when the door is closed. Good thing: during a power outage (or a blown fuse) the bolt retracts and the door is open.

You need at least more electronics. -... Read more

    This is a fail safe lock and works very well. When power is applied and the door is closed it locks automattically (has a reed switch inside). After turning off power to it unlocks. Might be a little hard to install. I used it with my X10 home automation system and it works very well! Now I can... Read more
